Privacy Policy

Overview

PRISM is a local SSL certificate management tool. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

PRISM does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

All cryptographic operations — including certificate generation, CSR creation, PFX packaging, and key extraction — are performed entirely on your device. No certificates, private keys, or any other sensitive material ever leaves your machine.

Network Access

PRISM makes limited network requests only in the following cases:

  • Update Checker: The app periodically checks for a newer version by fetching a public version file from the app's update server. No personal information, device identifiers, or usage data is sent in this request.
  • Aruba ClearPass Integration (optional): When using the ClearPass feature, the app connects directly to a server address you provide. No data is routed through any third-party service. Credentials entered for ClearPass are used solely to authenticate with your server and are not stored persistently.

Local Storage

Any files saved by the app (certificates, keys, PFX files) are written only to locations you explicitly choose on your device. The app does not use iCloud, analytics services, or any remote storage.

Certificate Vault (Certificate Bundles Feature)

When using the Certificate Bundle vault feature, all encrypted files are stored locally in your device's Application Support directory. No third party — including any tools, services, or frameworks used to develop or build this app — has access to your vault. Vault keys are stored either in your macOS Keychain (Keychain mode) or derived from a password you set (Master Password mode). Neither mode transmits any data off your device.

Third-Party Services

PRISM does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

Children's Privacy

PRISM is a professional developer tool not directed at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
